We’re at Cheltenham Film & Photographic Studios for our first day of filming on batch two of the Product Videos for Masters Golf UK. The whole team are here along with Emily’s friend, actress Kate Cooper who is modeling the new kit.
Three days here and we will have all 35 new films in the can, or as modern technology dictates, on the high speed memory cards…
When we arrived in Southampton for filming Contributor Brett at Go Ape. I unloaded the car and placed all the equipment next to where we would be having our brief and be setting up. Paul Barton had all the camera equipment for the day so I also helped him to unload his car.
Whilst filming at Go Ape in Southampton it was my responsibility to make sure the ‘kit’ was always safe and secure even when unsupervised. I positioned the unused shooting equipment for each take by the largest tree next to the filming so that no onlookers could see the equipment and also so that it was easily accessible for the crew.

Choice Point Filming
When I first joined Halo Films in June 2011 they were in the middle of producing 300 Product Videos for Masters Golf one of the world leading sporting brands. Almost one year on and they’re back and would like us to provide them with a new batch of videos to go with their new stock. MastersGolf TV has recently notched up 100,000 viewings… all the current videos are visible here, are used by sales staff who now carry an ipad around with them instead of sales brochures.
I was asked to find an appropriate shooting location for the project. The location had to be a photography studio with a large enough space to film golf trollies moving and have an infinity curve and withing our budget. I arranged a viewing with London Road Studio in Gloucester & Five Valleys Photography, unfortunatly these were both too small for what we needed. Emily and I both went in search of other studios until we seen Cheltenham Film and Photography Studios which was perfect.

Both Emily and I worked together to make sure all requirements for the Call Sheet were met so the crew and cast had all the information.
For Samantha Hudson’s Music Video ‘Caught in the Storm’ I was told the breif and the equipment that I needed over the phone by Director Simon Miller.
